You have done a lovely job of deconstructing different TV dramas and showing how those 4 technical elements layer meaning into a film sequence and project a certain representation to the audience/ society in general. My comment initially was to make sure in these assignments that you show your thoughts and reference wider social implications but as you went on, especially with love and romance, ethnicity etc, you started to include your thoughts and analysis of whether the way that issue is represented is challenging or conforming to societal values. My only advice on this would be to continue to think about how to take those micro-observations and start to talk about them in a broader context. You definitely started to do this towards the end and that is promising to see. You have nailed the 4 technical elements and can even work on commenting more about how each of those 4 separate elements work together, to be able to take your research to the next level. Overall a well researched piece of writing and I am really happy with your progress in developing ideas and relating them to media concepts you are identifying. Well done.
